When i saw the first three stages i had hope that after dozens of years Bayernrundfahrt has been beaten for the title of the most boring stage race. But then came stage 4 and 5 and all my hopes were gone

Nice win by Ahlstrand. Eventhough beating Petacchi and EBH in this instance doesn't really mean he's faster than them but just being up there competing with them at all is a good indication of his abilities as a sprinter. Hopefully he can get some sort of pro contract for next year so he can develop further.

The Niedersachsenrundfahrt, when it existed, made the Bayernrundfahrt look like Il Giro. A race consisting of five consecutive editions of the Scheldeprijs. In the 2006 edition Ale-Jet won all 5 stages, and in 2007 he won 3 of the 5.

Absolutely the most horrible stage race ever conceived.
