There's AC more or less ruled himself out on CN news pages.

that's what usually does lol don't worry if he has the legs he'll do more than just that. Champions only ride for themself then.

Then again him making the race is pretty cool aswell

Agreed, even if he can't win he'll probably still explode the race to bits.

Here's hoping that the race is ridden hard(like the women's race)and that their's only about 30 riders left going into the final climb of the cauberg?Top 3=LL Sanchez,Gerrans and Gilbert.just not sure on the order? Also worth a mention are Sagan, voeckler and JTL.Cant wait should be a great race...

Don't understand the hype about JTL on this course. To be fair i only watched him in tour of Britain, but he didn't look very explosive to me?

JTL's regarded as a puncheur, plus with Froome fatigued, and Wiggins not caring about winning races anymore he's probably Great Britain's best chance. And his current form is pretty good.

He was pretty explosive here in stage 2 of the Tour du Haut-Var also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cp-U1jvmfLA&feature=relmfu

Has he done a race at this level before? At this distance?

He might have promise but he is a very big long shot, don't be silly.

Sagan can't win, he will be too scared to let Phil go, and then get Cancellara'd as they will not take him to the finish.

Ok here I am at the bar sipping some wine while I scramble my head about who's going to win this thing tomorrow......
As I wrote before- I'd love to see the most anticipated duel ever between Gilbert & Valverde- just the two alone climbing the caulberg ready to sprint.. thats Wild but unlikely to happen... As far as wild cards - I'm putting good faith on my Colombian compatriots to perform well- specially Uran & Betancur -whose canny instincts & aggressive racing can surprise the peloton if the opportunity appears
Overall -whoever is the winner- I would love to see him earning the rainbow jersey as the man who truly defeat the competition without a doubt & thus his name will be imprinted in the history books with pride.

He's Great Britains best chance to win it but I don't think he will, at best I think he could get in the top 10.

After looking at the race route, I think Gerrans' chance of victory has increased. Cauberg will be too hard for Friere but the overall route is perfect for Gerrans.

Yes I think Gerrans has a real chance. The climbs won't bother him and he has an underrated sprint. Gilbert is riding better but still no nowhere near his form of last year. I also like Sagan. I see Rodriguez as the best chance for Spain but I think the distance will test him. In other words I don't see a Spanish rider winning but of course they have an incredible team.

Obviously it's a very open race, but I love how Sagan is getting under a lot of people's guard (form not great, lack of team support, distance a query etc etc). Despite all that he is still the one to beat.

weather report says no rain, but the wind switched direction and is now coming from the east, tailwind now to the finish, a little easier to stay away once getting a gap on the Cauberg, things could change by 5pm though, it is Netherlands
