Pretty sure EBH will be dropped soon, the race has been too hard for too long for him. Mainly because all he can eat during races are rice cakes. Not enough energy...

Ofcourse not. I told you so beforehand. I can do that climb on the outer blade.
And if I can do it on the outerblade, it can never cause a selection for the pro's

Is there a harder hill they could've used on the circuit?

I hope Nordhaug will be free to attack, and won't have to slave for EBH. He can't force a sprint on his own anyway.

Nordhaug's form in Montreal was fantastic. He can handle the Cauberg and go again, if he's anything like at Montreal. Can handle two surges at the end.

There are 1 million possibilities to do a lap of 15/20km around Valkenburg with harder hills yes.
Geulhemmerweg would already be 10 times better :D

I'd disagree. With only 1.5km between the top of the Cauberg and the finish, one worker could be the difference between a sprint finish and an attack staying away...

Stannard will be a force in next year's cobbled classics imo. Especially as he'll be given more leading roles with no Flecha.
