"Better not help to the others, because if we catch him and they beat me, then it wasn't worth a try." :(

Epic ride by EBH as well. Wow. But could do nothing against Phil.

Disagree when they got over the op the gap was still manageable and ebh kept looking back. He should have ridden on.

But yes very strong, about time, he is very talented.

Finally Thankfully Gilbert!!

Great win by a Great rider:)

Surprised by EBH and Degenkolb.

Now, knowing that EBH can handle the distance he will be a massive threat in the coming years.

EBH might've got it if he weren't so far back going into Cauberg! Still, this silver is a huge step in his career, as it's his first result in a 260k+ race. And he was clearly the second strongest rider in the race.

Agree

Valverde and Hagen were both capable of winning the sprint tired, and should've ridden.

Gilbert got a nice little help from the motor at that decisive point. It was pathetic. Great ride by him, but it leaves a bad taste.

Hahaha where is Descender now with his awful comments about the course? What a race people, what a race. Gilbert, truly phenomenal. Also nice ride by Boom, finally starting to show he's a great rider this season. With some extra dedication he'll be on fire the coming years.

He was on the front whilst a couple of returnees sat on his wheel - in the end 2nd is a great result for someone who most people here expected to die 40km earlier.
