Evans i think wants to go to the Mallorca Challenge and scare the Shlecks by having good form compared to their start of the season peak. Important physiologically. Big teams as well.

I doubt it will have any effect on Andy since he does quite little in any stage race that isn't in July. Frank tends to have decent form at various points in the season such that his presence is actually felt. The Mallorca Challenge really isn't a race to be expecting to gain any type of edge on one's opponents.

Always wondered, what does "meh" mean/represent?

Meh generally means you don't think much of something or the thing you are reffering to is below expectation. I think in the context Libertine is using the second definition would apply.

You never know with Andy. Any damage there will come back to haunt him 5.5 months later when he loses a minute to Cadel in the prologue hopefully.

I checked this out, but even after translation couldn't see any specific details for climbs and length of stages. Does anyone know how long the ITT will be for Pais Vasco?

It only specifies the start and end point of stages. However, knowing the geography of the area means you can't help but feel a bit short-changed by it, since there's so much you can do with the area that is clearly going to go un-done.

Majka is too young to be doing the Giro yet alone leading it. Also if hes the leader I can't see too many of the team making the time limit on 19 and 20.

I think Saxo would be wise to send Juan Jose with 2 or 3 leadoutmen to the Giro.

positive for Majka, not that good for Conta (?)
Why? Even if Contador gets cleared he won't do the Giro anyway.

majka is 22 now. of course he's not too young to do the giro. betancourt was 21 this year and did the giro. of course he is a way bigger talent but in cases of riding a gt for first time it's not much of a difference especially in todays clean cycling

Are you sure you got your finish right? It's supposed to finish at the highest point in Belgium. Unless you don't count the prologue as stage 1?

not done stage 1 yet. Im working on it, but its a headache. Too many roads that the race might be going down, might not. Im about 20km in and ready to throw the laptop across the room.

ya, besides riis is not unzue or the euskaltel DS team, he isn't afraid of launching his guys with an early age, lets not forget andy did his first giro at 22 and won liege at 23. i also really like this guy because of his really aggressive style during this years ToP so i hope to see him do well

For real? I thought there was supposed to be a hill top finish that suited Gilbert?

The highest road in Belgium is on a plateau and is almost dead flat at the top, so I hope you are mistaken. I was there yesterday. They are working on the road at present, so I wasn't able to climb it from the Robertville side.

For the second time, that is stage 2...

The maps are for prologue and stage 2.. NOT STAGE 1 WHICH I AM STILL WORKING ON!

Nah, I was wrong, actually the finish seems to be in front of the Val Saint-Lambert Glassworks

Doesn't look like much to me actually... I thought they finished on Baraque de Fraitures, but can't seem to find anything about that anymore.

Anyway, I've already been on Baraque de Fraiture, it definitely suits Gilbert, don't worry about that.
Sorry to disturb your Gilbert-studded dreams, but there is no stage finish on the Baraque de Fraiture. Stage 1 finishes in Seraing, stage 2 in Tournai.
