You were warned.
This alteration/cancellation stuff happens in Tirreno-Adriatico, a lot.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the finish come out of stage 5, either.

So far, it's been a complete dud.

Well it wouldn't happen if they planned a crappy route like Paris Nice did. No cols = no need to cancel them.

When did that happen? Was he involved in the crash @ stage 2?

From what I remmember he didn't actually fell off the bike. "Just" took a hit on his hand from other bike.

I'm not going from excitement to depression in a flash. It's part of race. It will still be fun. I expect fast and chaotic.

Just to be sure, is there confirmation on a route change? I may have seen the post, but missed it with selective (or wishful) reading.

yes it's official, and this is the new profile of the stage

If Scarponi is not injured then of course I would pick him. I think Peter Velits is pretty strong on steep stuff and seems to be good (ill probably pick him quite a bit this season). Evans should be a sure bet to top 5, Nibbles top 10. I'd also like to see Di Luca do well, and also Garzelli. btw as an outside pick, Fabian Cancellara might be up there too.

Haha yeah EBH probably won't even try. Just watch the videos from last year on the same finish.

Count me in, though I would have said the same about Westra tbh :p

Thank god I won't have to buy you a lifetime supply of Amstel

Belgian joke: where someone ****ed in :p

La chouffe is my favorite Belgian beer. If you're ever in the Ardennes you should definitely give it a try, but I'm sure you have already.

So what kind of injury does Scarponi actually have? I suppose he won't win here then... Vacansoleil seems to be on a roll, so I'm going to root for Poels then. Nearly won a stage last year and should be even better now.

Nooo! That's just bad news..
Great talent. Very strong rider and certainly a rider that will make an impact on classics in the near future. Could've been this year allready.

Normally it's pretty safe to put money on them and Evans might take it, but somehow I don't think any of these 2 will win.

There are hills so I'll go with "no".

When is a climb, not a climb?
When it's in Paris-Nice apparently.
Hills? Today's finish is sub Mende, which you found so pathetic.
But, of course, this is Italy and comes after 250 kms of rollin', rollin', rollin'.

Who takes the lead after today? Any of the GreenEdge guys able to hold on?

We could actually se Sky's Lovkvist in the lead after today. He is only 25 seconds back, and is usually quiet strong in these type of finishes. 9th last year on the Chieti stage, 16 seconds behind Scarponi.
