BTW, for those wondering, Sky wearing yellow helmets were not their decision...ASO made that decision for them.

ASO gave them the option or required them?

I read somewhere that ASO wants to try it out this year. The leadingteam wears yellow helmeths. Article also said that Wiggins(green/yellow) is made fun of by his teammates.

Just noticed NBC Sports and Nissan are offering a chance to win a trip for two to meet the Radioschleck-Social Security Check riders at the USA Pro Cycling Challenge! (sorry, couldn't help but nickname the team that)

Wow, those yellow helmets look ridiculous. Whoever decided that must have no sense of style whatsoever. Teams will try to lose their lead in the team classification on purpose so that they don't have to look like idiots...

BBC reports Froome taking flak for riding the prologue with his nose plugs still in situ!

Must be a mouth-breather!

Mørkøv took the first point of the KOM
It's a good thing we don't have the likely situation this year of a rider wearing the polka-dot jersey with exactly zero points like we had last year (was it Cadel? I can't remember)...

RSNT checked out todays final after the prologue yesterday. Alain Gallopin comments on the finish:

And we were quite surprised by how difficult it is. It is a long and steep finish that is on the same level as the Cote de Saint-Nicolas from [Liège-Bastogne-Liège].

Interesting. Maybe we will see some smaller time gaps after all.

Tony Martin (OPQ) was one of four riders who have crashed early in stage one. He has consulted the race doctor a number of times since the incident that ocurred at the 11km mark. He rejoined the peloton quickly after his fall but appears to have concerns with his injuries although we cannot (yet) confirm what they are...

this is not looking great for Tony. I hope he can fully recover for the TT stages.

$#%#$# any updates on this?

Hushovd was wearing the climber's jersey in the TTT with zero points. I guess Evans must have worn it the next day with zero points as well.

At least I got the team right then...I honestly couldn't remember, other than remembering Phil Liggett mentioning that somebody was wearing the polka-dot jersey with zero points during the TTT.

This is probably the best Saxo will do in the tour...

Virtuel yellow and polka dot for Mørkøv.
Don't worry...only 35 days until (please refer to The Clinic for more information) returns.

Mods: Is this OK? If not, feel free to edit it to your liking.

Does anyone think chavavel has a chance today.. Looking for an outside bet
I think he does. Although he has a better chance of taking yellow than winning the stage.

Apparently the bunch was halted in the streets of Liège by a protest action (not from the cyclists), no more details
