Isn't Basso just saving himself to join Nibali after he goes - same reason Sagan got ahead of the bunch. Rather than actually blown out by Kern...

Well, I don't understand why so little guys have so much power (Contie, Purito and the likes).
So I'm forced to spin! But I'm not a rodie, so that's different. :p

in road cycling you just need to ride, ride and ride to build a huge engine, that's what matters you don't need to waste time on strenght because you don't need much and you build it just by riding

Team Sky riding like they want to wear those yellow helmets again.

Why does RSNT not wear the coveted yellow helmet?

Did the Tour relax that rule?

Peloton looks like they are out for a Sunday ride.

If the guys had anything planned surely they'd try to up the pace. Letting Knees ride tempo is like watching paint dry.

Wasn't a rule, just a strong suggestion I think. I'm not sure why people are against the yellow helmets... I like having something you can actually see easily indicating the leaders of a category. Having a different color number wasn't enough in my mind.

So everyone is just going to sit there watching Sky ride at their tempo?

All they would have needed would've been a slight tempo increase at the bottom and Knees would've been gone. But no, they let Sky save Rogers and Porte until the last mountain. Jesus.

Groundbreaking tour? What are you talking about?

A team from a non traditional cycling nation, using innovative training methods, advance technology and professionalism previously unseen among cycling teams has dominated the tour and put their leader in a commanding position to become the first ever rider from that nation to win the tour. They have upset the order in the cycling world and are teaching the traditional cycling nations a lesson. The other teams and nations will also have to be more more professional and be innovative if they want to succeed.
This nation is also known for fair play and sportsmanship, so there will be doubt about their performance.

A success for this nation in road cycling could be the catalyst for cycling to become a truly global sport, as the language of this nation is the commercial language and the most widely used language in the world.

Furthermore, some time back, this nation made a similar investment to track cycling resulting in complete domination for a few years.
A breakthrough in the Tour by this nation could result in a similar domination on the road. It will represent a shift of power in cycling.

The arrival of another powerful cycling nation will only be good for the sport.
