Since when did Voeckler become a climber?

Since a few years, he's actually never been a bad climber but in his earlier years he often totally exploded because he went too deep for too long.

Did you not see last years TDF? He's not a great climber but it's no surprise he can do what he did today.

well rogers wasnt there today and he was hanging off the back going over the tacks mountain as well. porte isnt on the same level as froome and wiggins either, some chinks in the armour?

Maybe, but if there are it is a little too late. Unless Nibali does something awesome tomorrow it'll be a Wiggins Froome 1 2.

Surely a bit late for chinks in the armour.

The guy was 4th in a little race called the Tour de France last year.

I am well aware of it. I watched the Tour last year, but him outriding Contador, Basso and other great climbers at last years tour and attacking again on the climbs today isn't something you associate with Voeckler. He is a good rider, but not one to be doing this sort of thing.

2 vs 1 Sky v Nibali and they still don't attack him, in fact they work and help him cement 3rd place. Froome really needs a bit more time, they could've at least tried - or made Nibali do all the work to hold JVDB2 off.

Froome doesn't need any more time ahead of Nibali.
