Ah, there we have the answer. Hutarovitch quits. Wonder if he was in a small group with van Hummel, Lancaster and Bernardeau - then found the others all decided to quit and he had to struggle on by himself?

A clear indication of how boring it is is the number of posts during a stage. Today's number is extremely low.

Why didn't Goss', Grepel's, or Sagan's team go to the front and catch the break in order for a sprint finish??

Starts like that must be very bad if you are suffering. Enough of a gradient to help shake a few out but not enough that a proper autobus forms. The only people you will be back there with are others who are really struggling too.

It's almost impossible to successfully attack on the flat in a 2 man group. Really easy to counter.
