He would have taken the stage win.

Why not give him the stage and let him take 40-50 seconds on Wiggins? What would be the harm in that?

Then there's the risk that if Froome goes all out in the ITT and Wiggins has a bad day, Froome wins TdF. With 2 min+ there's more of a cushion.

It's all bull***t anyway. Froome lost 1 min 30 sec to a puncture at end of Stage 1, barring which there won't even be a discussion.

The facts are there for all to see. Froome is the strongest rider in this year's tour. And this is the reason why this tour and especially today's stage sucked. Since we're not seeing a competition but an arrangement. It's gut-wrenching to see riders not giving their best on orders and coming 2nd in TdF.

It's farcical to see Valverde win today. It's farcical to see Wiggins win the Tour.

The Kenyan really deserved this tour. Can't wait to see him and Bertie battle it out next year. should be a million times better than this crap.

Maybe Froome didn't want to and just wanted to stay with Wiggo. Will be interesting to hear what he says tonight.
dude he didnt seem to want to wait , he was constantly discussing with wiggins and through his body language we clearly saw he wanted to go. He even made a sign with his hands for wiggins to hurry up . Talking about whos the boss ?

both W and F look total idiots on the screen, even W win this tour, it will be said it is gifted by F. I wonder how he is going to feel about it. What a joke!

I don't know about that. It would have been close, but no team wants to deal with two guys attacking one another, and Wiggins is still better in the TTs.

Froome will get his chance, maybe with a new team, and will do well with a parcours with even more decisive climbing.

Well wiggins delivered on the promise shown in 2009. All it took was an aging evans and menchov, a broken bone to schleck the younger, tour-ending crashes to samu and gesink, the greatest grand tour rider of the generation being suspended, and the complete shackling of his teammate who was clearly stronger

Wiggins will feel great about it. Because in 5 years nobody will remember Froome being stronger, but everyone will remember Wiggins winning.

who knows what is going to happen after 5 year? just look at LA now

The only bit of that which is relevant to GC is Alberto. His ban and Froome's puncture left us where we are today

Brailsford is boss. And any more of these antics and Froome will be off to Accent Jobs. Another bollocking by Brailsford and Froome will be appearing before the cameras like a chastened little boy once again. This is modern cycling, Sky-style and you obey the team managers.

FroomeDog looked and sounded like he was holding back the tears in that interview.

Asked what the conversation during the final ks was, he seemed utterly unconvincing when saying "we were saying, we're almost there, we've almost done it, let's go!" - more convincing when asked if Wiggins had told him to go for the win. "No, I didn't see that."

"It was good to put more time into our rivals."

seriously f*ck this ****, why coudlnt sean yates let him go? Froome didnt want to attack wiggins , but he just wanted the stage win. And they already made the break on nibali. Wiggins really needs his babysitter all the time?

Froome should just get out of this team. Wiggins and the politics within Sky have costed him the Vuelta and now a stage win today. No other top rider would of put up with it. Oh how I would of loved it if Froome did'nt have that bad luck in the frist week.

The Vuelta was a different situation cos no-one knew that Froome would be anywhere near capable of riding like that. But this Tour, when he's been so obviously the strongest rider but shackled to Wiggins, soo frustrating.

not in the next 3 years, SKY is very adamant keeping him in the contract, and who knows what is going to happen in the future, you always grasp the right now, this might be his only chance in his life to win it.
