Why not give him the stage and let him take 40-50 seconds on Wiggins? What would be the harm in that?

Then there's the risk that if Froome goes all out in the ITT and Wiggins has a bad day, Froome wins TdF. With 2 min+ there's more of a cushion.

It's all bull***t anyway. Froome lost 1 min 30 sec to a puncture at end of Stage 1, barring which there won't even be a discussion.

The facts are there for all to see. Froome is the strongest rider in this year's tour. And this is the reason why this tour and especially today's stage sucked. Since we're not seeing a competition but an arrangement. It's gut-wrenching to see riders not giving their best on orders and coming 2nd in TdF.

It's farcical to see Valverde win today. It's farcical to see Wiggins win the Tour.

I don't know about that. It would have been close, but no team wants to deal with two guys attacking one another, and Wiggins is still better in the TTs.

Froome should just get out of this team. Wiggins and the politics within Sky have costed him the Vuelta and now a stage win today. No other top rider would of put up with it. Oh how I would of loved it if Froome did'nt have that bad luck in the frist week.

The Vuelta was a different situation cos no-one knew that Froome would be anywhere near capable of riding like that. But this Tour, when he's been so obviously the strongest rider but shackled to Wiggins, soo frustrating.

not in the next 3 years, SKY is very adamant keeping him in the contract, and who knows what is going to happen in the future, you always grasp the right now, this might be his only chance in his life to win it.
