Hardly. Just find it a bit degrading when the first post that follows mine is an insult to be honest.

No worries next time, just for you I will post something along the lines of "I reckon the man with the yellow bike will win".

The post is for others to disgest and not myself. Maybe your not familar with such work. In future don't respond to my posts with negative rubbish when you don't give any information yourself for other members to read. If you don't like my post previews then ignore them. Simple as that.

And when did you get the crown to decide what other people want?

Well you're gonna be great fun aren't you !

Gossy is on the door steps quite a few times, but his Aussie train can't put it together, hopefully this stage is his chance and that will also make Green competition more interesting

I appreciate that TDF but I don't think people on this forum need such a detailed explanation of your view of the current state of play and maybe not suggestions to visit particular gambling websites ?
Nonetheless you are clearly loving it so that's fine by me :) just perhaps make it a little more concise next time eh ;)
No many people on the forum do.. you dont...

Especially as forums are about people sharing there own points with others and doing so in a detailed way brings a quality which many people enjoy.

Wind your neck in Froome FFS. If everyone went off like this every discussion would be 1000 pages long. What's wrong with you! Are you a grooming Froome?:D

And the forum would be all the better for it.

Well done and pretty much all accurate:

One thing I would say is that this stage also has the potential to be claimed by the break as I said here.. http://forum.cyclingnews.com/showthr...t=17592&page=2

Cheers Froome. Yea a breakaway has got a chance. Hopefully Lotto and Orica-Greenedge will have learnt from todays mistake when they nearly let the breakaway claim a stage victory and get more control in the final 30k. As depending who gets away in the break I doubt Radioshack will be offering too much help unless someone gets in the break who is only a couple of minutes down in the general classification.

Disagree. I much prefer longer, well-thought out posts and doubt I am alone. A post can be long without being verbose, as TDF2012's was.

I think it makes a nice change from the common:

"[insert favourite rider or team] rules and will obviously win!!!"
... followed by reply ...
"No he/they suck and have no chance!!!"

(followed by similar back and forth for next 30 forum pages)

Nice stuff TDF2012.

Wrong

Well it looks like the entire forum is against me here.

Maybe Cycling News should hire TDF2012 for a full post and pre race column!

Also his views on which bookies are offering the best deals will be most welcome no doubt.

Cannot wait for tomorrows edition and the applause it will receive.

It's fair disagreeing but there's point in being a cnut while doing it.

You like to create grudges don't you. Forget my original post like I said and just imagine I said "the man on the yellow bike will win".

All I can say is that my original post was posted in good faith and I think your ill intended responses have been unreasonable and bang out of order. You say the whole forum is against you? Maybe you should take note. I don't know anyone on this forum at all as I am new.

Perhaps you should read some rules about this forum too!!!!!

Would be nice if you did the same and maybe don't try to slate newcomers on the site for absolutely no reason.

Get over yourself and stop being so supercilious

You make no sense. If you hadn't of started your unprovoked slating of my post, I wouldn't have even posted again on this thread. You referred to 1000 pages if we all posted posts like mine and you have now caused 3 pages of nothing based on your pointless first/second/third and so on posts.

Long posts are okay, but I need more paragraphs! I find it hard scanning from line-to-line with so few reference points, so don't bother reading if there are much more than about 10 lines per paragraph.

TDF2012 back to your original post/review of the stage. I am a details person and really enjoyed the read. So welcome to the forum and thanks for your thoughts.

I will disagree with you though. I believe that Goss will replace Cavendish in your short list. Nothing against Cav who I think is superb but if he is human, I think that day 2 of crash effects is the worst day and as good as he is he should be in a world of hurt. That being said I have seen him rebound from bounces on the tarmac to win the following day. The following day though can be a rush of adrenalin and some anger from the crash whereas the 2nd day (after crashing) is where the aches and pains really kick in. So for that reason I don't think he can quite manage a win.

Goss has been in every finish and I am hoping that this stage will be like the Giro when he finally got a win after 5 or 6 second places in a row (Turkey and Giro). I didn't feel that he trusted Impey enough in Stage 4 and decided to jump on the wheel of Greipel when Impey was flying. In Stage 5 he did go with Impey and it seemed to put him in almost the perfect position. Robbie McEwan was scouting the sprint for GE and Goss looked to go for a replica finish of McEwan when he won the same stage back in 200?. I would love to see Impey go head to head with Henderson in a shoulder to shoulder lead out then Goss and Greipel peel off at the exactly the same time....wonder who would win?

Wonder what the thoughts are of everyone regarding the effort required to battle out the intermediate sprint. Greipel hasn't been contesting these and has won the last two stages......does it make enough difference to give him a win over Cav, Goss, Sagan, Renshaw et al?
