Basso is a fail. Nibali will leave so doesn't count. And I'm looking forward to your reaction when Sagan ****s up. ;)

Nibali will leave? I am sure that information has been reliable attained :p

Also Sagan cant ****s up because he has already in the first 6 stages gained more success than nearly all of the other riders will.

of course not! merckx is considered the best...

sagan is better sprinter
climbs faster
more explosive
better TTer

good looks and awesome.

so he is better than merckx.

now go and eat a cookie.

Guess what else Merckx did  Are you sure you want Sagan to do everything better than him?

Lost time today of the top20 contenders:

Peraud, Gesink, Brajkovic, Valverde, Mollema, Schleck, Kruijswijk, (Vanendert), Taaramae, Pinot, Scarponi, Vande Velde & Hesjedal.

Pretty sure that he dropped his chain in the last km or something, should get the same time..

Plain fact of the matter is that this is going to be every tour from now on and that is just the way it is going to be so we better get used to it because this has now occured the past 3 years and there are no signs or obvious ways to deal with this..

Schleck, Hesjedel, Gesink, Scarponi, TGBM... god, what a horrible day.

It's so hard to remember what impact crashes made in years past, so maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the last couple years have been particularly bad on GC contenders. I hate, hate, hate seeing people eliminated from contention by something so random. We're robbed of knowing if the best rider won or simply the best of the lucky ones left over. Perhaps the peloton should have slowed.

There wasn't a thing any of those guys could do about it. You can try to ride near the front, but everyone wants their GC guys near the front. You won't always be there.

Hadn't realized Geipel involved in crashes. His effort wa pretty impressive in view of that. Doubtless he'd have won that sprint otherwise. But, still, Sagan remains thoroughly impressive. Amazing, really.

Except for top-5 GC, Greipel and Cav most likely. Not sure whether he'll take the jersey, so if he doesn't it would also include green and polka-dot jersey...

BTW WHERE IS VINO????

Same was said about Eric Vanderaerden, but he still ****ed his career up and became a second tier cyclist at age of 25.

He's complaining about all eggs in one basket. Well without Sagan Liquigas would've sucked this year.

crashes happen, not necessarily caused by a single rider.

will be interesting how cadel vs. wiggo works out when all those climbers have nothing to lose anymore.

I guess it will come down whether or not they now turn their attention to Polka rather than GC. Either way it should be interesting.

Cav

Sorry about Cav - it would be more interesting with him and more fair as well. So hopefully we will some fight between all 3 fast men later.

Wht else would you liked them to have done?

They had not interests in the crash and they needed to catch the break.

Accept that they are a slightly pathetic team and stay out of the GC fight? Of course it's not going to happen, but it doesn't mean I don't still think they're being cocks.

Good point. He was certainly taking it casually up to the line. Would have thought he would putting in more effort.

Only Zabriskie for Garmin in the top 138!!!!!
