We are a letterpress studio (printing the old fashioned way with wood & metal type) in Newark, Delaware, and we love the Tour de France and putting ink on paper. Last year we did a personal 'endurance letterpress' project, translating the day's events from the 2011 Tour de France into a daily poster through ink & typography. We'll be doing it again this year. We would love to have you follow along.

You might take a look at Tour de Lead Graffiti 2011 to see how it came out. You'll see the infamous elbow crash from Stage 1, an American's win on July 4th, Hoogerland's acrobatics, Schleck's charge across the mountains, and all the others. It ends up being quite a journal of the three-week journey.

Each morning around 6:00 we scan the previous day's poster, post it to our website with a description of the contents and how it relates to the stage, put it on our store, etc. We have a number of contributors who come in and work with us and they get to our house around 8:30 to watch the Tour live on NBC Sports. Last year we had others on 17 of the 23 days. We go to lunch and talk about what we saw, then head to the studio to try to bring the day's events to life.

You can bookmark our 2012 Tour de Lead Graffiti project and check it out each day.

We can't wait for Saturday to get here.
