Tarmac shot right there. Good tarmac.
+1 that was pretty funny.

but vennell most aggressive guy in the break right now. He is not making friends with the other guys that's for sure. His tactics might be a bit odd considering there is still over 75 km left

It's a typical Dutch thing to do. Very direct. Bashing is normal when they deserve it. Same with the dutch soccer team, everyone supports them but even when doing very well there is loads of bashing the players, the coach, the playing style etc..

Correct, theres the saying theres 16 million national coaches in the Netherlands ;). Everyone is very critical and "bashing" is not a strange thing to do when as said someone deserves.

.

Likewise in Britain concerning the big 3 sports; Football, cricket and rugby. With lesser sports though there is very much an underdog mentality, where we look for positives only.

I know Sherwen has to work with a vegetable, but why does he keep calling Vennell, Fennel?

Ah, gratuitous tarmac comment!

Those reflectors on the tarmac look dangerous though. That dampens my opinion about the fantastic tarmac stuff

Cyclingnews Peter Hymas gives his opinion on the tarmac: "They roll along on smooth, perhaps recently paved, tarmac."

But the yellow line does look less dangerous than the normal white line, so thats a positive side of this amazing tarmac.

Those are incredibly annoying to race on. They can take your wheels out going around corners especially during high speed crits

but vennell and marentes up ahead. peloton at less than 6 mins

I wish Rob Hatch would stop pronouncing the names of American cities as though he was in Spain. Obviously their origins lie in Spanish, but it just sounds silly in this context.

I've seen riders taken out by those dots/reflectors, they're riding one moment and bam their on the ground the next with the look of WT... just happened look on their faces.

No, I spoke to soon. Once again Garmin crank it up on a climb and immediately succeed in getting rid of most of the sprinters.

1. Sagan.
2. Haussler

Yet again.

Some riders, including Kittel, dropped at the start of the climb. Still a lot of riders in the peloton though

Patterson Pass, famous local amateur bike race. Hopefully the race will hammer the climb and blow up the race.
