The gap can't be correct.
The peloton really isn't that far.

It's like
Georges
Kelderman+Weening group +3'25
Peloton +3'55

They're never at 2'45 because the P is pretty close

Is that true? Can someone confirm? BTW, the german commentators had it right from the first second. :) Oh lucky i am...

No it's Kelderman

Can't wait to hear all the GC guys talking about how this stage was super tough and hotly contested.

Honestly, I think P&P deserve a break. I can barely watch this race it is so boring, imagine how hard their job is to be enthusiastic about this training ride?

I don't mind them not being excited. The problem is that they're making rude assumptions about a rider : "doubt he knows any English".

The problem they had with Big Bear last time was that the stage was very tough (massive amount of cumulative climbing), but not selective at all, so they didn't make too much headway when attacking.

Therefore, this year it's still a tough, but not selective stage, and the riders haven't bothered attacking either.

Gotta love TGAK though, advancing some 14 places within the last 300...
With some more help from the team he'd be right up there. His max speed easily exceeded that of Cad. (I know, they're riding for Rodriguez:::)

He must be fast if he's managed to get from Italy to California in just a few hours... ;)

First time I'm listening to them actually, normally I'm blessed with Sporza. But they are as bad as everyone says.

Same here, first race they are commentating, they are horrible. They were actually debating whether Georges can get the sprint that was 1 km in front of him with the chasers at 2'45''....

I don't understand any of the gaps given between group 1-2-3, they are being changed a la minute.
If we believe it, group 2 has first won 1'20 on the peloton in 3km, and now lost 1'00 in 2km.

We in germany are really blessed with Jean Claude and Jantsch, Miggels etc. They all work well together, seldom wrong, always on top of the action, even sometimes funny jokes. So it never gets boring. :)

For a day like this. Blame the riders, it's not the races fault.

You are the official ToC apologist. You can't be serious, this course is a joke. The climbing wasn't steep at all, which makes it hard for the real climbers to create a real gap. Then on top of that the stage is fully neutralized for 15km at the end.

You must work for amgen.
