Outclimbing zabriskie duarte and danielson is no special feat for someone of gesinks quality but the tt was.

Yeah but coming from where Gesink is coming he is far from top. And still winning....

This is the first time he's climbed well since the leg break.

Uran and Henao good at the Giro, Atapuma and Duarte good at Cali. Great day for the Colombians.

Atapuma is going to win the stage

Lol what a fail prediction. 2 riders to choose from with 500 m left and one out in a break all day and you still get it wrong.

It's been a while since we saw Gesink beating some top-level riders in a mountain stage. It's obvious he has to keep improving but for the first time in over a year I'm satisfied with his climbing.

Van Garderen was disappointing. I didn't expect Zabriskie to defend himself at all. And yay Tommy D, solid.

Fear is Ruben's worst adviser. We've seen this time and time again.

Got to hand it to Crash Bandicoot though, he almost made that prediction come true anyhow.

They need to repave the last 1 km next year. Looks like the Tour of Turkey

Nagh, the crappy surface is part of the charm. Its just like all the other mountain tops in Cali. For some odd reason everyone things the state is perfectly paved... nope!

While I agree, we gotta view this win with perspective. Gesink just came of a very very bad injury, hence why this climbing performance while not that amazing, is big progress.

I was very impressed with wilco btw

Man im so happy for Gesink, he had to go through so much crap and this finally seemed like a typical Gesink-suffering-special that I missed for some time. :)

Great stage today. Very tough final. Not enough left in the tank for Horner. Gesink, Atapuma, Duarte, Tommy D hats off.

Yeah this display is what I always liked about gesink. While he got some good results last year, it wasn't in the fashion I like.
