seems to me like the rest of the BMC team have been snoozing other than Blythe. Its still very early in the season. I expect their first win to be anytime soon....

Where was Steegmans? Not that it would have changed the outcome, but at least we would see Tommeke sprint against Cav.
Great win for Cav though. Hope he does the jersey justice throughout the year.

He brought Boonen up to the front at around 1500m to go

He needed him badly with 700-800 m to go.
At least there wouldn't have been a whole bike length empty behind Cav.

Did anyone notice today in the commentary when Harmon was on about the Ullrich case and he went on to ask Brian Smith about it that Smith just ignored the question and went on talking about the breakaway and the racing going on.

BTW Cav was too good here but at least Liquigas featured today with Oss and Sagan. They were anonymous up to now in the race.

I didn't get to see the race but yea, it seems they are alive atleast, i should congratulate on twitter since i have been giving them a hard time on twitter. :D

I'm looking forward to the first strop in the WC jersey.

Another rough showing by Garmin (lead out wise), 4 guys in front with 2.5k to go, but then dissipated 2k later. Seems the coordination is there, but the guys just aren't fast enough to string everyone else out (but nobody else really is anyway). Sky seemed less coordinated, but got it done because Cav is kind of fast. Liquigas with some depth up front.

Cavendish and Degenkolb started their sprints simultaneously but Cav managed to 'lead' Oss for 2nd while Degenkolb was passed by Sagan. Boonen and Renshaw chose a wrong side of the road and there was no Steegmans to help this time...

EDIT: it seems to me, Daniel Oss was doing a lead out to Sagan but just lost him trying to hold on the Cav's wheel. It was a good sprint by Sagan in the end.
