That was a *** finish, was all about positioning due to downhill and corner with 100 meters to go. Only the 3 riders in the very front actually got to sprint.

Can someone wake EBH the f**k up! Not even top 5 in this competition...
I said it a couple of pages back, there's no way he'll win a bunch sprint in this race. He doesn't have a single guy to help him in the sprint as Sky only has climbers in this race. He's unfortunately unable to position himself decently without a leadout. Today he never even got to start sprinting as he was completely boxed.

Kirby is gutted, he was desperate for Bol to win that!
Why? So he could have the winner wrong?

Breschel actually did everything right, he was constantly in the 4th/5th position. Maybe he started his actual sprint a little too late though.

Didn't Leukemans or another Vacansoleil rider bump into him? Saw a Vacansoleil rider being pretty stupid to Breschel first and then to I thought EBH.

Even unboxed he hasn't really looked fast so far this year. Call it the Farrar syndrome.

He was top 5 on almost every stage of TDU though which is pretty good for a non-Australian. I don't think he has looked slower than usual. However, his training this year is 100% centered on PR and RVV so he's not doing any specific sprint training.

Didn't see the race but I really expected Matti to be faster than those two. Good signs of progressing from him though. Was he caught too far behind or what?

Carlton Kirby seemed to be on a mission to mention Jetse Bol as many times as possible, even though he was never really ever going to challenge or not even near the front.

You could tell he just hoped that Breschel was in fact Bol at the end.

Young Dutch guy, rides for Rabobank.

Carlton was tipped off by someone about him being a 'star of the future' so decided to try to convince us that he was one of the favourites for this stage.

Bol is a classics rider too. Don't know why they expect him to win a sprint
