By himself, ok.

When certain teams seem to have improved by quite a bit over the winter than it's either some amazing training breakthrough or foul play that would make Fuentes blush.

No surprise to see VDB TT so well. He has spent 3 days each week with his time trial bike this winter :)
I hope for him it has no negatives for his climbing. But we'll find out in july :)

Disappointing TT by EBH, he clearly hasn't done much training on his TT bike this winter. I was hoping he'd actually train for it this year considering the olympics and all the TT miles in TDF.

Bravo VDB!!
Love seeing a rider taking charge of his own destiny, unlike you know who ;)

Westra wanted to do really well here. But something embarassing went wrong because he says on twitter he doesn't want to tell what it was.

I think he probably forgot some crucial material (like shoes or something), or he was simply too late? (overconcentrated on warm up?)

So he didn't actually even start?!

This site has him as a DNF but no other sites have him listed at all so I suspected he may have been a DNS.

He did start, and on time (I saw it on the stream).

Maybe he rode off course?
Would that be so embarrassing? Perhaps he simply had to **** really bad, wouldn't be the first time that happens to an athlete during competition :p

He's probably made things even worse for himself with people now guessing what it may be! :)

Maybe he just got fed up and climbed off near the finish for no apparent reason, despite having a really good time, like Wiggins at the Eneco Tour a few years ago.

Who would of thought, theyoungest was right. Westra got anal probed and couldn't find a good tt position on his bike anymore because he was too butt hurt.

very disappointing performance by machado, costa just rode as expected.

no wonder kloden says machado needs to learn a lot mentally. . . he completely failed under the pressure of such a small race

is machado really known as being a good or potentially good time triallist?
