Maybe just 4 riders as seen in Pais Vasco 2010 http://www.rtve.es/alacarta/videos/programa/samuel-sanchez-gana-arrate/740036/Escarabajo said:This is a sprint of five or six. There are several good climbers. I'd say more than in the Tour. This could be the first Contador show. Froome could be a little behind form from the Tour. If Henao had the leadership I'd put him second but I am afraid he is going to set pace for Froome.

Fidolix said:Philippe Gilbert in a break, guess we can count him off the list of todays winner.
Markel Irizar, Nico Sijmens, Sergio Carrasco, Dominique Rollin. Andrey Zeits, Pim Ligthart og Christophe Riblon with him.

McLovin said:This might be THE DAY of switch between generations, between the big ones, the multiple big tour winners. From now on, it's possible to resume everything to Froomie, and not to Contador. I'll copy-paste this from time to time for the next 6 years.![]()
When bonus award are included in a race they apply to everyone so you can say they are fair. time bonus reward stage and sprint winners. When CG contenders use them to win the overall they show a different talent and that too is fair .Fidolix said:They learned from last year, then a stage win gave 20 points.
In fact, if it wasn´t for the bonus seconds, Froom would have won the Vuelta last year with Cobo in second, so how fair it is, I really don´t know.![]()
So are you suggesting Froome doesn't have a natural talent?El Pistolero said:Contador and Froome are from the same generation. It's just that Froome was a nobody until recently.

It might be unfair comparing Froome to Contador. We should compare him to someone else. Anyone else. He loses to ~90% of them anyway in terms of showing early potential.El Pistolero said:Contador and Froome are from the same generation. It's just that Froome was a nobody until recently.
