I really enjoyed this one today. Shame it takes a crash or weather to make things exciting, but that's how it is.

Definitely a BS move by Sky today, but the peloton salivates at the chance to get a cheap advantage. Of course Sky knew that Valverde was in the crash, they aren't stupid. I don't defend their tactics but I'm pretty sure that someone else would have put the gas on anyway. Probably would have been our old pal Bertie.

Sky's gonna end up in 2nd at best anyway, so it won't matter in the long run. I don't think Valverde would have been able to hold on the whole time.

According tothe Spanish journalist it was Sky who took down Sørensen. But ye would like to gear something from Sørensen. Usually he is too nice to blame others though.

People should ask Sorensen. Whether he was asleep or it was a genuinely dangerous move.

Hopefully he remembers. Apparently Noval landed on top of him, so the lack of oxygen may have zapped his memory. :D

Gracias @TeamSky !

:D

@alejanvalverde
Everybody Is free to behave the way he wants to but after provoking the crash you should not attack. This is not fair.

From the overhead on the highlights, it looks an awful lot like the first rider down did it without any contact from anyone.

But I'm sure angry hurt people with only 1 camera angle are the best judges of what happened.
I'm sure Team Sky fanboys are perfectly objective in this situation ;)

Thought I would be ok in the wheels of the Movistar guys. Until Sky rode in them. Suddenly they were lying down on the asphalt and I was (luckily standing) inbetween them.

More literally, he says Sky rode them to the ground.

The video is available for anyone to watch. Maybe it was a team Sky mind attack, knocking people over without touching them.

Apparently Piti and Unzue think Sky caused the crash by swerving violently from one side of the road to the other or something.

By the way, honest question: why are we allowed to call him "Piti", but saying "Clentador" gets you a warning?

Honestly I didn't even know it was a reference to doping, but now that you mention it like that I guess Piti was his dogs name? And that name was on a bag of blood right?

#teamsaxobanktinkoffbank in crash with Sorenson losing some skin. Noval managed to land ON Nicki so he is fine! Other boys ok + AC moves up.

Sorensen didn't lose his skin because of the actual crash itself, did he. :p

Ok, I have heard enough different riders from different teams agreeing that it was Skys fault to be convinced.

Yeah pretty much.

And at least Valverde isn't a hypocrite cause this is way different then paris-nice situation earlier this year.

Also pathetic that sky lied that they didn't know valverde fall. Then why were they still riding, at one point there was no wind anymore so what's the point?

And Valverde would have never won this vuelta, so it wasn't even worth it.

People are getting more and more reasons to dislike Sky this way.

I was waiting for such a simple minded reaction to be posted here.

Asking victims of something if it was caused by the people who gained from it is a really great way of sussing out what happened.

You've made your mind up anyway, so nevermind.

Now now kiddo, let's not start with the insults.

The fact is, it's racing. Valverde has done a lot of things in the past which are shady at best, the guy shouldn't whinge. He should get on his bike, and get some revenge if he feels bad abut it.

Surprise that Sky think otherwise.
It happened as they went into the crosswind. Most likely the back end of the train hit someone or as mentioned "provoked" the crash

Ye after 4-5 riders and a journalist all agreeing that it was Sky who directly or indirectly caused the crash I have, so far, made up my mind.

And even if they didnt they shouldnt continued when the leader crashes (especially when it was not due to bad positioning). Oh and the blatant lie that they didnt know he was down doesnt really help either
