That's what lights up the race though and gives the riders numerous chances to gain time. I approve.

I'm surprised people are so completely confident that Contador will be in good form though. He obviously won't have much racing in him when the Vuelta starts.

I'm not so sure either. That's why I try to bring down the hype a bit.

Until what age will Alberto perform?

Because I think that he can continue to win in 2012 and 2013 but after that I just can't see it happening.

That's partially why I'm so sad; because I know he will never achieve what he could have achieved and because he won't earn a place in history. In a few years from now only his fans will remember him.

He will prbably be on his current awesome level until 32ish, then he will probably loose some of his punch in his accelerations. But he will still follow the very best in the mountains until like 35 i'll guess and probably be able to win the Vuelta until he is like 36-37 ish

Yeahh, after that he doesn't care anymore for 10 ten places in GT's so when he gets dropped he'll go on massive suicide attacks every single time to try to win it. Like the last stage of PN 2009.

I would say he would have been atleast challenged by Basso 06, but yea he aint half bad

If Contador goes from beeing the undisputed king of gts to a super domestiqe for a young and upcomming rider (spanish probably)to help and guide i would rate him almost as high as Vino... almost
