Is this even allowed for by the UCI?
Isn't there rules for this kind of thing? That each stage must count towards a GC that is compulsory for the race organizer?

I think Vuelta wants to say the time gaps will be small so irrelevant at the end of Vuelta.

Do you know Sky and Geox were the worst team in the TTT last year?

20 stages after:

1 Cobo (Geox)
2 Froome (Sky)
3 Wiggo (Sky)

If I remember rightly, Sky lost a rider very early and something else went wrong. Sky last year is not Sky this year.

Time gaps will count.

A shame. Now there might be crashes, and of course Samu and Anton will lose a lot of time.

To the bolded, that is sad maybe on the dangerous part they should put up this sign

I know I know it is nice right :)

Tbh I hope it will be closer as that would make it more interesting, but unless Contador really suffered from 6 months of no racing I can't see anyone challenging the King.
He has been training hard though as far as I know so he will probably be fine.

I really hope Andy is able to show up with his normal TdF form, allthough he's been crap all year.
Let's hope that Anton, Sanchez(?), Gesink, Froome(?) will show up in good condition as well.

Just looked at the profiles of all Vuelta stages.

Million times better than the Tour, right?

Can't wait, I need Vuelta for my cycling fix since Tour, as expected, failed to deliver.

Lets hope so! Though I think we can scratch Gesink off that list, I don't have any expectations out of him. Contador, Schleck, Froome and Sanchez in the mountains... oh baby! :D

Btw Saxo isn't even that bad, they're just not as good as Sky. Over 16 km they will lose 25-30 seconds, in the mountains Alberto can win minutes.

That deficit will be even less if Fabian Cancellara moves back to Saxo...because it looks like RadioShack is falling apart...if the Bobbsie twins leave....Kloden retires...Canc will be gone too.
