Phinney has such a winning mentality. He doesn't even care the slightest for his silver medal at the moment.

Well he was 5 seconds from gold..

I really didn't think Phinney would have the stamina for this type of course.
Questions to be asked at BMC HQ over both his and Pinotti's Cauberg fail?
Clearly, they both had more than one eye on this.
Perhaps TJVG was a bit quick to hold his hand up for Sunday.

Almost 2 minutes between first and third.

Phinney not happy... twice 4th in the olympics, then second by 3" in the TTT and now second by 5". Must be painful.
He should be proud. This wasn't his kind of course. The kid has arrived! :)

world destroyer tony martin AKA "king of cycling" beats a 22 year old by an amazing 5 seconds lol

poor phinney

Tony had 2 major crashes including major injuries this season!
Given those circmustaces his performance is amazing!
Nice try to play it down. You should learn how to lose in dignity!

Good to see Tony ending this season on good terms.

Phinney clearly with advantages in the corners. Can be proud although he looks very disappointed.

he has to thank Contador with more than just a hand

he gave him this jersey, never forget that

Even when Contador loses, he can decide it. Just like in tour'11

Just because Martin caught and passed Contador doesn't mean Contador gave it too him. If catching Contador was the reason Martin won then it would be the person who decides who goes when that gave it to him.

Great results from Kiriyenka and Gruzdev.

Kessiakoff is slightly disappointing, he only woke up on the last part where he killed it and went back in top 10.

Well done Tony. Phinney has many more years yet to go one better, and judging by today, it may not be many years either.

Will be a good show next year, assuming all are on form and injury free.

No Wiggo?!?

Cancellara? You sure? I'm not.

The guy is still by far and away the best tter of his generation. a poor tt in which he still got bronze despite crashing last year, tells you he is not going to be in with a fighting chance?

TJVG was just too keen and his mistake cost BMC a victory.

Only Pinotti could be in a minute difference had he not crashed.

Contador said the reute is not that hard, but it seems it was a very selective one.

Great ITT from Phinney. The kid's got a future in ITT and the classics at least. Martin finally escapes a bad-luck season.

Tejay's got to do something about the fade factor so common in his performances.

Kiryienka solid third.

I think hes reffering to a couple of seconds of slipstream which Contador and then his motorbike would have given Martin
