Maybe because Piti is associated with Valverde because it has been proven. Cancellaras name being Lugi is just pure speculation, even though it could be true.

That's a fair point.

If Piti is alright because it's been proven, how come people get into trouble by saying Clentador in this section?

Calling him "spartacus" gives him respect he doesn't deserve. The other nickname was one he brought on himself. And he deserves it.

Not according to our dear friend El Pistolero, who points out that the real life Spartacus ultimately lost against the Romans, and therefore calling Canc spartacus is a tremendous insult;)

NOTE: This also includes the use of doping 'nicknames' to describe riders eg Pharmstrong, Clentador, Albuterol, etc. Where this occurs outside of The Clinic it will be considered doping discussion and moderated accordingly as a strike.

Clentador is a stupid name. Piti and Luigi are at least somewhat amusing.

Lets just do as Der Effe suggests, just call them by their actual names. That would solve everything.

Now then, back to the race...

Over-rated historical figure yes.

If you want a real genius look for Sertorius.

No no no. We call Piti not cos of some Fuentes nonesence but its because its his dog.

By the same token you can call Contador - Rex
