The biggest question for me is Kwiatkowski. Will he ride in the mountains like in Tirreno ?

Michał is turning to be one of the most complete riders in the peleton. Cobbles, mountains, hills, tt, little bunch sprint, downhill, helping his sprinter. He showed it all this season , competing with the best riders.

I don't think his form today was just an off-day, so he'll most likely get dropped, but not in a too-painful-to-watch-for-Florecita way because he's too much of a fighter to let that happen.

how would you know what is too painful for me to watch?:)

Yea, he has been very impressive.

As far as Contador goes:

If the "allergies" are still bothering him-he will just finish the stage.
If his "health" improves a bit - he might climb well-not with the best though

As far as the stage goes:

1-) Froome
2-) Porte
2-) GThomas

GC after stage 5:

1-) Froome
2-) Porte
2-) GThomas

This. I think they want to demoralize/humiliate AC and the other GC candidates if possible.

Probably. Curious to see the train order. We know Porte and Froome will be the last two but I wonder where the others will fit in.

I think Rolland will go well.

Though I'm not entirely sure he'll try seriously, but I think he will and if he does, he should go really well.

Why do people rate Thomas so high? Did i miss something or is it just the usualy skyborg jokes?

I can't see him coming third but I do expect to see some impressive performances in the mountains over the next month or two, not necessarily where he finishes on a stage but his work in the train.

directly against the sky train on the last climb?

I think he will try and hang on like a club rider.

Stannard then Eddy (accelerating the field before the climb), Kiryenka, Thomas, Lopez, Porte, Froome

Maybe, Thomas then Kiryenka if he has fully recovered

Contador will do a Andy Schleck and finish in the back of the gruppeto. But in July, he will be ok............

No Kennaugh? I actually thought he was going really well this week but he did a terrible TT (and he was giving it 100%). Kiryienka and Lopez haven't looked great this week but difficult to know if they've been saving themselves for the second half of the race. Wouldn't surprise me if Thomas is third last man, just ahead of Porte.

I figure Kennaugh will be be carrying the bottles back and forth for most of the stage.

Just how they use Kiryenka, Thomas and Lopez will be the interesting part fo the stage tomorrow.

Stannard and Eddy will completely boss the field early on.

No Sky train in '11

Rolland was up the road on stage 11 (TdF '12) when he won.

Do you think he can successfully attack the Sky train on the last climb tomorrow?

I think it's a possibility. If they give him a bit of space - after all, he's a few minutes down al ready - he might finish it.

Though I still think Froome ought to be the overwhelming favourite.......

Contador appears to be on a Basso/Schleck model (deep trough, high peak). He will be uber strong in TdF, no doubt.

What might be an idea of this plan?

That would be a bit depressing though
