I wonder when will Saxo start to work. Paulinho is up there, so I hope there will be some good race.

I sometimes wonder how much more tired being in a break of 20 makes you compared to being in the peloton. In a group of 20 you wont be on the front that much although it wouldnt be the same as being able to hide in the middle of the peloton. In a break of 20 you probably dont have to fight for your position as much but you would have to go back to get bottles.

Well at least we can gather from this that the descent from the Sarenne will possibly be a technical affair judging from these pictures:

It is a disgrace that ASO is using the Sarenne for the Dauphiné and especially the TDF. This is a very sensitive alpine environment and the "road" was just a little used mountain track until the powers that be decided that yet another relatively untouched alpine zone should be sacrificed for the glory of marketing the Tour. There are more than enough well paved roads that can be used without destroying this alpine paradise.

Shame on ASO and shame on the local politicians for this stupid decision.

For more information (and a petition, though it is probably a bit late now for that):

Maybe Alberto won't do anything, before Dauphine he said he will try something in 1 stage,so it was on Thursday.

Purito or froome FTW i guess.

Really? Sky seem happy to let it stay around 2-3 minutes , because of Seeldrayers. If it stays there to the bottom of the final climb then that should be plenty for Rolland to win the stage.

Can't see it. The peloton's gap to Rolland and co already down to a minute or so, and Chava and De Marchi don't look so good now the road's going up.

LOL TV is hilarious.

#darth vader theme begins to play

You can admire an archer, or even a talented sniper.

Hard to warm to a nuclear weapon. Well, obviously, it warms you rather effectively, but you know what i mean...
