tomorrow's (predicted) profile?

can't really imagine that this will be possible...weather not likely to improve drastically > hard the get up to 1.800m (passo Tre Croci) or even higher...

I said last week that the Giro had been good, no matter what happens in the last 9 racing days.

Little did I know.

I will be wrong, and it looks like this will go down as a forgettable Giro racing-wise.

The way things are going, getting into pink after the itt was the best thing that could have happened to Nibali.

Also this giro has officially been ruined imo, there is noway around. It's not the organizers fault but we only had 1 proper mountain stage over 3 weeks :(

I will eat my hat if they race up to the top of Tre Cime. Troci may be passable if the weather changes but finishing at 2300m- not happening.

Unless they find an uphill street somewhere in Cortina to place the finish, Cavendish will secure the points jersey in the Dolomites. :D

Just saw this bit of news today. Man, Di Luca, and now this, horrible.
Really hope we get at least something tomorrow. While I still think it has been a difficult Giro, the absence of some really big mountains stages due to weather really has ruined a lot of it. :(

It's not ruined. It is what it is. The best rider won emphatically, no need to extend the pain for the rest of them.

Nibali will be a deserving winner of this Giro. The weather really is a great shame but it is something we cannot control. Where's Global Warming when you need it! :)

Other than Hampsten's win in '88, how many other editions of the Giro have been so affected by such unseasonably cold and snowy weather? Maybe it would be better if the Giro and Vuelta switched as Spain might be a little warmer than Northern Italy in May? What's it like in the Spanish Pyrenees and Spanish Sierra Nevada right now?

Off topic so I won't go on with anyone on this, but Global warming won't cause warm and sunny weather all over. Things like increase precipitation and cold temperature will occur at some places, while other places will see things like drought and harsh heat waves.
