Any idea if they can fix this? What does that even mean "RAI can't use their plane"? Don't they transmit the pictures via satellite?

The plane serves for retransmitting the signal from the motos. Without it, no pictures.
They can't use it because the control tower of the airport didn't give permission, due to bad weather.

What about the final climb? Stationary cameras?

Final may show up on live vid.

On the live stream they keep showing the finish line (along with highlights and lowlights), so if nothing else We'll see the final meters.

It's kind of charming when the picture is breaking up occasionally towards the top of the mountain, but it's not when there are no pictures at all.

Yeh and how you so sure was it just his 1 custmary bad day. Nibali also had a train that day the Sky train, look at stage 7 Sir Wiggo beat him in an uphill sprint aswell lmao. This race is even lamer than last years TDF and that is a fact, withot today and tommorow the Giro is over even a great last week wont make up.
