Movistar

I wonder if some of you guys watch the racing. Movistar have won THREE stages. The amazing Alex Dowsett as well as Giovani Visconti and Benat Intxausti. It may not be quite 2 years since Xavi Tondo sadly left us but I am sure that he is lookig down and celebrating for Benat in particular.

So if Cav doesn't take some points tomorrow, Evans just needs Top 3 in ITT, and good two last mountain stages to wrap points jersey? Looking like Cav will miss out again by small margin.
Are points awarded in the ITT?

Wow I was very happy to see Benat win. :) I guess Kangert was the strongest though. It was very cool to see Sanchez, Betancur, Nibali and Scarponi fly on the descent. I must say Scarponi really impressed me today, he looks pretty strong.

Good win. I really thought Sanchez or Evans would win it but once the gap opened it was all over.

congrats to intxausti and movistar, nice win

omg what a vini fantini fail...unfortunately, nothing would have helped santa if danilo stayed with him. he really hadn't that magnificent, how they called it "la socquette légère" today

he really wheelsucked until today though so i really hope that from now on he will go completely ballistic in the mountains

about betancur, i'm afraid but i'll say it anyway... he seems to be the new murito

Great job by Katusha and RadioShack today! Jesus...

They could have known Kiserlovski or Trofimov wouldnt have the legs today? No. It turned out to be a fail for them, but they did give us one of the best stages of the giro so far.

Otherwise a great stage, just a shame Sanchez didnt win it. I just dont understand his strategy today, he was doing like 70% of the work from the top of the climb to the decisive split. Going for a top 10 in GC? I dont think its worth as much as a stage win, and this stage was by far his best chance. He isnt strong as other guys to win those mountain stages, if they even happen.

A shame for Gesink, after all the **** hes been through i would have liked him to get a stage at least.

Laurent Pichon, the rider who crashed hard on stage 1 and broke some teeth and needed stitches on the chin, looks determined to finish his first GT.

167th, +3:38:10 (GC)

About half his team mates have moved to the couch and watches the show from the telly already.

Looks like Caruso being in that break ruined his GC position.

Ruined? He was 18th going into today's stage. I'm glad he showed some moxie and tried to race instead of protecting a top-20 placing.
