Does anyone know what the rules are regarding who gets the maglia rosa after the TTT asuming none of the teams with riders that took bonus seconds yesterday will be in contention?

If for example Sky wins, is it then the best placed rider on stage 1 that will take the jersey? If that's the case, then great move by Puccio to be the best placed Sky rider...

Pretty sure that's the case, yes.

So how do they work out the starting order?
Is it based on finishing order in first stage, superteam standings...??

Hoping that BMC can take it and win by enough to give Phinney another pink jersey. GE and RLT on paper look like they could do well.
As long as Kessiakoff isn't hurt too bad, Astana to be just a few seconds back or ahead of Sky.

Wouldn't Blythe get pink since he's the best placed BMC rider?

RNT has a very good chance of winning this because no one stands out apart from Machado, but he knows how to not kill them unlike other strong TTers

Now we only need that pic of Charlie Sheen with 'WEENING' on it, il Killer hypeform Jens_attacks, me cheering for Kash and Zam to tell us how Basso will win it by 10min before we have gone through all the fanboying of the day :D

I suppose that's true, but I don't think it's a better "show" for the fans.

I quite enjoy a TTT. 17Km is just about max distance however. Who will deliver grace and discipline?

and who will provide the comedy?

Voted Blanco cos I thought they'd be unfairly dismissed. In reality prolly Garmin.

I think this TTT is underrated, the false flats make it quite interesting and could produce bigger gap than expected.
At 3-4% incline weight already becomes an important factor while drafting becomes less relevant, so teams could break apart relatively early.

Just realised that Rabobank have sent 3 of their 4 top GC riders to the Giro. That never happens.

drafting still plays a huge factor speally when they are in TT, they're going even faster
