A Blanco rider crashes => LOOL, Rabofail, Funny, :D :p

Someone else crashes => sand on the road, tried to avoid the Blanco rider, etc.

This is pathetic.

Glad you mention it.

the GC is now getting in shape- So Wiggo is 2nd already.... not good for Sky if he picks up the maglia rosa that soon within the next stages...

It's stage 3, he has to get it by stage 8 anyway or he's not that likely to win. Does it really make a lot of difference?

Surprising that Nibali would be such a coward. Even when he and Hesjedal had a gap he refused to take a pull. He is the big loser today together with Scarponi...this was his opportunity to take seconds on Wiggins, and he didn't even try!

If Evans is actually in race-winning mode, he did a really good job of sandbagging beforehand. Surprised there was GC action on that stage.

Nibali may attempt, but it will show only weakness. A GC man trying to take time on stage like this — pfffff.... :)

Though as far as I remember Nibbs tried something similar in the Vuelta when Sagan won.

Maybe he should simply resign himself to his fate and just not put up any fight at all to a Wiggins win. Is resistance futile in your book?:p

Scarponi crashed himself. Had nothing to do with whoever it was who crashed in front of him.

Scarponi has grabbed a load of brake as he sees the Blanco guy go down.

maybe Nibali wasn't feeling strong today.

Yea, did nothing we kinda expected of him today, disappointing.

Maybe he crashed in his effort to avoid the riders that had crashed before him?
I don't think so. He was actually the second rider to crash so it would have to be "to avoid the rider that had crashed before him" and not "riders", and he crashed so quickly after the first rider that I simply think it had to do with the road conditions or something like that.

How can you fail to see the humour in the situation.

They didn't even have to pull. They presumably got to the front, as others have said, to avoid crashes. Then they crashed. Both of them. And they even took out Scarponi to top it off. And no one was hurt.

It's frickin' hilarious.

Not really, along with Sanchez he was the best sprinter left in the chasing group.

Kinda agree with that. And I don't buy he wasn't feeling good.

It was Agnoli, not Nibali.

and no , scarponi DID crash because of blanco taking the turn at too much speed. he had to break a lot and lost the wheel
i think it was obvious
