I think Wiggo is stronger at the moment than many people are giving him credit for especially when it comes to time trials. I'd love to see Nibali playing with the bunch with 3km's to go on a flat stage.

Good point.

Perhaps its just nerves.

Soon to be revealed.

Tomorrow he can ride for himself, so he will more than likely win this
Curious to see how many minutes he takes from Kiserlovski, i think it will be around 5 easily

Lots of unknowns about how people will be riding and on a tough course, this tt could be very unpredictable. I am not confident about Evans tbh. From the way the team are talking, they are very unsure where he is at with the time trial which indicates he has not done a lot of training on the tt bike and focused more in the mountains.

I am crossing my fingers and the upside is that his closest competitors are those who are generally not great time triallists, such as Nibali.

Gonna go with a fanboy pick for the stage, Phinney to take it.
Ryder to take pink, Nibali to pull off a great TT (top 5), Wiggins to have no motivation and not be able to pull back much of the time he lost today. Evans to move onto the podium (could see Evans taking pink as well if he's got the form).

I am convinced Ryder will lose more than one minute to Nibali, if Nibali was not badly hurt today.
I agree. Watch out for Gesink though.

Ryder to take pink
Wishful thinking on both counts.

Phinney is sick not in good shape, Nibali much better TTer than Ryder until proven otherwise. My outside pick is Alex Dowsett

True, I have not seen Gesink doing a proper long one. In recent years he has been very good on short ones.
Let's see what the usual 'dutch' suspects say about this, including Ryo. :D

Wiggins is good at TT. But so far this year we haven't seen him TT-ing. And he just crashed today should make him some what sore. TT tomorrow is not really flat pancake, so some non TT specialist will have a chance. Last year Vuelta, everyone was sure bet that Froome would shattered the TT and left the rest of contender in the dust. Everyone said Jrod supposed to loose lots of time. Well we know how it went. My point is with rain and crash in the past 7 days, will somewhat takes a toll to everyone's body. On the paper wiggin should take it.

Losing 1.27 is still loosing. Even though everyone think wiggins can take that back. I'm however not sure about that. Maybe he would, and or maybe he got only few second ahead of his rivals. This is why I love watching the Giro, because no team can control. And just when we think the contenders will save their leg for tomorrow ITT's.. the rain threw a havoc. Why can't TDF like this? i'm tired of seeing sky controlling the race.

Intxausti is probably not easy to dislodge in the mountain. I hope he'll be like tommy voekler in 2011 TDF. While no one counted him, he kept hanging there like a glue until the last TT :p.

The Giro is just 10x a better race than the Tour will ever be. :D

Lots of people underrating Ryder. He has a big engine and should be a contender in such a TT.

On what do you base that opinion? He's never ever been good in a timetrial like this. Never. Why would he possibly be much better now than ever before?

would agree, Hejsedal doesn't have any pedigree in TT'ing. Did pretty good in the 28km Milan time trial last year, but that seems to be it.

And yet he will likely do a top 10 on this course.

I have written this before, & so far my predictions have come true-so I'd like to remain the SKY fanboys a fact:

Tomorrow's ITT is not 100% suitable for Wiggo to take minutes over the competition due to its technicality, with 3/4 of the length filled with many turns & constant change in gradients.

And i'm not even including the "RAIN FACTOR" plus the damage he's suffered today due to his crashes....

Either Hesjedal or Evans will win the stage-perhaps Ryder in Pink while Nibbs second just seconds away. Wiggo will not take back time on them...

Nibali better TTer than Ryder on flat roads, should be even better than Ryder on such technical course unless he is badly hurt today or unwilling to take any more risks due to psychological effects of today's crash

Will be interested to see if Samu soft pedals 50km, goes for it and fails, or, shows that hes not yet feeling the 35 years of age in his legs and comes top 5.
