Sky have bridged. Fail by Wiggins on the descends but that is to be expected - even bigger fail by Astana in letting him get away with his giraffe on ice descending.

Maybe the goal is to try and break Wiggins over the Cat 3--they are going to use a ton of energy chasing back on similar to the Giro del Trentino and Nibbles should attack just as he returns (if he returns).

Anyone know the whereabouts of Visconti etc? Probably not, but Garate could be in pink.

And now everyone seems to be back together? RAI, WTF ?!

Not that strange. The gap is between the front of the peleton and the front of the Wiggins group. The peleton is easily 20 seconds long, so a 25 gap means Wiggins is only 5 seconds behind the back of the group.

The last two climbs might be a great place for Ryder or Evens to throw down the chili. Make Wigans blow his team up then crawl down the descents.

because they know Wiggins is clearly not going to be a factor anyway. Not with this sort of descending, so why waste energy when Wiggins will more or less disable himself in a later descent anyway

Yup I agree that's the situation.
