No Petacchi?

Lampre with the line-up that also does Het Nieuwsblad, they leave Pietropolli, Richeze and Ferrari at home. Strange.

And Argos without Kittel...

Ferrari and Pietropolli are in Switzerland to do GP Lugano the same day. KBK does not really suit them anyway, so it's nothing I wonder at

and I have not seen a startlist for Clasica de Almeria, but I guess that's the race Kittel will do on sunday.

But prestige is higher at Kuurne, I think it would have suited Ferrari; OK, Pietropolli maybe not.

Weather prognosis for sunday indicates a max. temp. of +3 deg. centigrade. That's wintery conditions, and favors to some extent riders used to cold climates. Hands and feet will go numb!

I'm not so sure, we have had two sprints for the win in a row now but I still don't see this as sprinter's race - and additionally, Ferrari has close to none experience of racing in Belgium.

OK, you guys start to convince me :p

But still, Lampre´s squad for this weekend is so weak (besides Pozzato, ofc), that they just have one card to play, and this card will mostly have to fight for his own (luckily, pozzato is used to do so).

The combined sprint force of Greipel and Cav sitting atop of QS and Lotto trains will very likely have this end in a bunch sprint. Odds doesn't look good for minor sprinters imo. Better opportunities elsewhere.

Favilli is very good on this terrain, he was with him at Farnese last year as well and did a very good job for his youth and lack of experience.

generally Lampre has a very talented team with Favilli, Cattaneo, Wackermann, Palini and Cimolai. Not sure what they will be capable of this weekend in a race like this though. Most likely Pozzato will have to rely on Favilli in the end.

Talent yes, but they have zero experience at this level on this terrain.
But as many have said, Pozzato is used to be on his own. He probably kinda like it too.
