We don't have mountains in Denmark, and still we have had a lot of cold and snow this winter/spring/last autumn....

Yeah, anywhere vulnerable to rain anyway will find more of it in the years ahead.

Great news :(

Been working nights this weekend so just woke up to find this race has been carnage so far!

Are there any climbs in the final 110k's that haven't been taken out or is it just a flat run to the finish?

Actually the break has a pretty good chance. They are probably quite fresh after the two hour rest and guys like Lastras and Bak can ride 45k/h all day long if they want

So far as we know, Cipressa and Poggio are still on.

Boonen says 100 riders got dropped before they had to stop.

And you're saying Cav will win this...

Boonen his statements can be a bit over the top sometimes

Is this the coldest March in recorded history in Europe? It feels like mid-winter in bloody Siberia...

Without knowing any data, I'm sure it's not.

I think anyone slating the winner of this edition of MSR needs to look at the conditions. It may be 50km short of full distance, but it is in anything but MSR conditions. Whoever wins will have earned it.

Yes, well earned vitory, but this is not MSR. Without Turchino and Le Manie it is a completely different race.

I'm just happy to see racing. I wish they had had a better plan in advance, but they don't so I'd rather see this than nothing.

Sky trained on Tenerife to prepare for this. They should clearly have chosen the North Pole instead.

It was still MSR without Le Manie for all but the last half dozen editions.
