The race hasn't re-started yet: looks like some buses got lost! That's gonna be quite a day to remember..

Blanco bus last sighted heading north :p

and I'm guessing they don't have a magic legal right to demand extra road closures at the drop of a hat.
Probably not, which is why they should have had something worked out way in advance.

So apparently they will race for 130 km, but they will go along the coast rode and avoid the Manie, because otherwise the race would have finished too late.

This was the first proper race of the season that I was going to be able to watch. Was really looking forward to it; i made sure i had nothing else to do today (which being in belfast was a big sacrifice on st paddys day), had any wee messages/chores needing done all done the day before. Just had lunch, have a nice cup of tea made but no racing to watch.

On the plus side, my twitter feed is entertaining me more than usual

Feeling it bro. Though I'm just holding fire & then out. They really should learn to hold large (Italian) cycling events in more reliable locations;)

At least they are trying to save the race. The French would cancel the race with a first snow flake. Kudos to organizers!

It's a good job we all have the Tour of Britain to look forward to since cycling is dying on the continent.

The steephill and cyclingfans links to English video ends with the Dutch or Italian feeds.

Anyone have an English link?
