When you see two riders in conversation like that in the run-in to the finish, what do you think they might be discussing? The after party? The weather?

It's sky's own fault that they don't see that EBH isn't a cobbles-guy but rather some one for AGR or even L-B-L, despite his 80kg

congrats to Cancellara- well deserved win considering the circumstances prior to the race with those crashes & perhaps a weaken self. The fact that he had to fight to the very end to grasp the victory really makes it special.
Big congrats to Vanmarcke & Stybar for their effort-was close but not enough against the likes of Spartacus....

Sky aren't necessarily bad in these races, it's just that you can't suck the life out of them and ride a team time trial all the way through. They also require a certain engine that you don't need as a stage racer, an engine you can only get from riding lots of races, rather than training on Tenerife. EBH just doesn't have that, and training instead of racing was the worst possible idea for him.

And Cancellara sucks obviously, he only podiumed all of the monuments in last 4 years

Sucks that Turgot flatted at the worst moment, Gaudin is insane though, looking forward to Ardennes for Europcar

Stannard will win every classic in the next ice age, but where he is better than EBH is riding in crap weather and being on about 1/10 of the salary.

Yeah, I'm absolutely thrilled about that and was laughing about it myself.
So glad to see Terpstra, Stybar, Flecha, and GvA (who was taken out by a mod when I saw he wasn't on the list to ride initially) instead of Chava, Thomas, and Roelandts, and Paolini.

There were so many guys I felt were close after Canc that I just went with my prediction which, except for Canc, GvA, Haussler and Kristoff, turned out to be a complete fail.

True. And knowing the what line to pick, where to ride and who's wheel to follow. Position is key. It's so hard to keep position in races like this. You expend so much energy just holding your place.
