Reading the Tirreno article in Italian it's not that clear. The original article mentions that one of the two "uphilly" stages features some serious climbs before the end. It would perfectly fit with the Lanciano/Chieti stage. So that rules out Rocca Di Cambio, unless they overload it with some unknown climb (or count it as a bunch sprint :D ) I'm confused right now. :confused:

So it should be something like this:

stage1a: Lienz - Lienz (road stage)
stage1b: Lienz TTT 15 kms
stage2: Sillian - Vetriolo Terme MTF 220 kms
stage3: Pergine Valsugana - Sega Di Ala MTF with another minor climb before (involving the descent of La Polsa, to be MTTed in the Giro)
stage4: ??? - ???

Froome confirmed to ride Tirreno, possibly his big target early in the season ( that would leave captaincy for PN to Porte I think ). It doesn't say if Wiggins will ride Tirreno though. ( just confirms he'll do Trentino and Giro as target races ).

Wggins begins in Mallorca and then both move to Oman.

Some FDJ news. Pinot will lead the team in the Tour de France while Jeannesson will do the Giro d'Italia. Ladagnous and Offredo will lead the classsics team. I hope that Offredo will continue on the same level as in his 2011 campaign.

Yeah Malhão should be out; alto da Fóia was due a return. Still, I'm happy that the race is still on considering all the financial trouble going on lately. Next year maybe it will end with Dubai coming in with fat big prize moneys and running at the same time.
Nice to have big stages of 200km maybe this will atract some good classics riders that can't go to Oman get that paycheck.

Edit: Here it is, Froome trades Algarve for Oman. Who can blame him, Algarve's prize should pale in comparison.

Little correction about the Trentino 2013: The MTF to Sega Di Ala will be the final stage, not the 3rd as I said yesterday.

rocca di cambio as the mountain stage? :eek:

in the giro there were 27 riders inside 11 seconds . . . does the stage has any mountains before rocca di cambio? if not then it is a very disappointing mountain stage to be honest

also how long will the stages be? i hope they haven't done the same thing they did at the giro and dropped the long stages tirreno usually has

Sounds disappointing, it's even more disappointing when you've mistakenly thought that the big MTF two pages back was rumoured for Tirreno instead of Trentino:eek::rolleyes:
