Sounds disappointing, it's even more disappointing when you've mistakenly thought that the big MTF two pages back was rumoured for Tirreno instead of Trentino:eek::rolleyes:

The queen stage is the Chieti one anyway, don't think Rocca di Cambio is a horrible climb in March although Sky are sending a strong team. Sounds very good especially with a 4th hilly finale, still don't like the TT(T)s though.

also how long will the stages be? i hope they haven't done the same thing they did at the giro and dropped the long stages tirreno usually has
Dunno about the length, but I don't see any reason why they should shorten them. After all there's still MSR a few days after.

Which climb can they put there?
nothing that has been climbed before. But Italy is full of hidden mountain paths so I don't rule out anything. in any case I do believe the mountain stage is to be considered the Chieti one.

Hopefully the Porto S. Elpidio stage uses Montelupone - Montegranaro sequence from the Giro stage last year but fixes the finish.

It's fine to use as part of a balanced route. If it was the only difficult stage then obviously it would be a problem.

Hopefully it uses the Muro di Montelupone instead of the boring gradual version they used in the Giro last year.

They can do virtually anything there, but I think they'll throw a circuit like last year Offida's. Anyway, there's room for a great stage.

I personally think it's a good idea to have an easy MTF before the Lanciano stage. This way it would really become an option to attack on the Lanciano. Last year they had Prati di Tivo the day after, so probably no one would have attacked.

Ofc it must not snow.

if lanciano will be canceled again because of snow, this might be a disaster for tirreno

It can't be as bad as Freire and Petacchi fighting over the GC in 2005.

Malhão bores the ... out of me.

TT is a bit too short to balance Alto de Mahlaho MTF. 5km more would ahve bee appropriate.
Anyway, should offer Tony a decent shot at top 3 GC finish.

A bit short? 34km ITT in a four day race in February? I think that´s rather really long...

Anyways, it´s a pity, Algarve shortened, Ruta del Sol shortened, Murcia down to 1.1, that sucks.

Many Iberian races with financial trouble, cycling under pressure even in the Netherlands, and so on.

Glad that at least Mallorca Challenge seems to have recovered, offering four days in 2013.

Malhao is like 2.5km@9%. 15km of TT would be more than enough
