Thats a good joke...I remember Acquarone said that TA will be decided in the mountains, with Rocca I dont see this rumour come true.

Mountain stage? I'd say Chieti is.Parrulo said:rocca di cambio as the mountain stage?
*facepalm*Red Rick said:Sounds disappointing, it's even more disappointing when you've mistakenly thought that the big MTF two pages back was rumoured for Tirreno instead of Trentino

Unless they put something huge before Rocca Di Cambio.
Dunno about the length, but I don't see any reason why they should shorten them. After all there's still MSR a few days after.Parrulo said:also how long will the stages be? i hope they haven't done the same thing they did at the giro and dropped the long stages tirreno usually has
nothing that has been climbed before. But Italy is full of hidden mountain paths so I don't rule out anything.ILovecycling said:Which climb can they put there?

2° tappa: San Vincenzo - Indicatore [flat]
3° tappa: Indicatore - Narni [flat with some hills towards the end]
4° tappa: Spoleto - Rocca di Cambio [MTF]
5° tappa: L'Aquila - Chieti [Lanciano + uphill finish]
6° tappa: Porto S. Elpidio - Porto S. Elpidio [hilly]
7° tappa: S. Benedetto del Tronto ITT
Ferminal said:The queen stage is the Chieti one anyway, don't think Rocca di Cambio is a horrible climb in March although Sky are sending a strong team.

They can do virtually anything there, but I think they'll throw a circuit like last year Offida's. Anyway, there's room for a great stage.Ferminal said:Hopefully the Porto S. Elpidio stage uses Montelupone - Montegranaro sequence from the Giro stage last year but fixes the finish.

Anyway, should offer Tony a decent shot at top 3 GC finish.
Malhao is like 2.5km@9%. 15km of TT would be more than enoughBavarianrider said:TT is a bit too short to balance Alto de Mahlaho MTF. 5km more would ahve bee appropriate.
