Yeah, well... I'd hate to think I was the only one who did.

Look, I'm not saying the yellow should only be worn by GC contenders. All I'm saying is that it doesn't make sense setting up stages that allow it to be worn by riders who who will either not even try to defend it, or simply be incapable to do so when when the road starts going up.

Again, Hushovd in '11 is the standard. Or the multiple Cancellara stints.
Perhaps you can come up with a list of whom is deemed worthy and send it to the ASO. I am sure they will take it very seriously.

Kittel is a terrible climber though. They have better odds with Degenkolb tomorrow, esp. if Sagan is hurt.

True but like in 2011 with Hushovd, nobody expected him to hold it for so long so Kittel might surprise. He probably won't win the stage but it wouldn't surprise me if he did better than a lot of people expected.

Contador got taken out by an astana rider who swerved right across him. Hopefully it looks worse than it is. He certainly came off at a very low speed.

I think that was Kreuziger. If I recall correctly, Contador was on the left side behind the crash -- near where the Sky rider flipped. Contador rode into a Europcar rider and went down pretty hard.

Have you seen Kittel ride up a hill before?

Kittel saying he had no idea the finished was moved back to 3k.

Edit: seems im late to the party
Good argument for giving control of the radios to the organisers. They could hire people to give messages in the right language as well.

Tejay and Mollema finished even behind Martin, Thomas, etc. Maybe also affected?

Tejay was caught up but it didn't look that bad, he popped right back up. Maybe mechanical, seemed to be having trouble with the bike. Greipel finished around then too, and looked like his only problem was mechanical.
