Is there any % time limit to avoid elimination, on this TT's ?

already first 2 finished 4 minutes between them, 12% is a lot already, and this % split will be widening to 1st place

It's 25% for a TT so probably be about 9 minutes today for the time cut.

Tuft's average speed was 52.1km/h - gonna have some quick times today. Hwever I think Tuft will eventuate in the top 10.

So what is the likely winning time? Should be around 36 min or is that a bit too optimistic (or pessimistic)?

Super specialist against the guy who never was a specialist and always suffered with this kind of discipline. Yes, it's so ridiculous. Cmon, Florecita. We won't see anything more ridiculous than Contador losing to Froome 20 sec per km at Ax 3. Nothing can be compared to it.

Valverde is one of the stronger tters in the top 10. If he loses 3+ minutes, imagine what Quintana, Contador, Ten Dam, Martin, Rodriguez will lose. 4-5 minutes?

I think 36 might be a bit optimistic as that would be 55kph.

Although someone has mentioned a strengthening tailwind is prediced throughout the day so if Tuft has gone 38 minutes and conditions get better I guess it could be possible.

There is tailwind (not at the begining)... flat, short.. possible record in TdF?

Tony is not at his best (maybe 54)... those 55 km/h of long ITT would be difficult to beat...I think Froome will do 53.5

Turf has made 52.

A couple of guys coming who can perhaps dent the Canadians position:

26 11:18 157 Niki TERPSTRA NED OPQ 157. +1:42:44

67 12:40 12 Maciej BODNAR POL CAN 116. +1:18:56

94 13:34 123 Jonathan CASTROVIEJO NICOLAS ESP MOV 89. +1:01:54

later some more favs.

Start time bolded (local)

The time limit today is 25 per cent of the winner's time.

So no one should have big problems imo.

Tuft's average speed between time checks:

0k - 9.5k: 53.19 km/h
9.5k - 22k: 50.45 km/h
22k - 33k: 52.87 km/h

Curiously he has been quickler with crosswind than tailwind...

but,

first part is a litte downhill, more protected and never headwind.
second part is a little uphill
third part, it is not always tailwind...the last 2 kms are headwind and no protected.
