1' 20" down for porte. I was right, he slowed.

What are you talking about man, he was extremely consistent compared to Martin. :D

1rst part (9,5 km) -> 25" slower than TM
2nd part (12,5 km) -> 29" slower than TM
3rd part (11 km) -> 27" slower than TM

Not watching, but just popping in for final confirmation that the age of Contador is over. Has it arrived yet?

You are about 45 minutes early for your schadenfraude. :p

first time im watching belgian tv this tour instead of Eurosport (because here the image stays black..pff) and after 10 minutes i hate wuyts already again

Hope they fire him and make Renaat Schotte 1st commentator soon. My god..

I can hardly imagine it can be anywhere near as agrivating as listening for 5 seconds to Mart Smeets.

Just watch a different channel and don't bother people with your personal bias.

He didnt slow as first point was 9.5, then 22, then 33

So if we do 11/9.5 * 25, we get a predicted first third at 29
The second third at 54 - 29 = 25
And final third at 27

What's Evans mad with?

Also, Eurosport HD seems to be back... with British commentary. Lol.

Still better than Marco Chagas.

.

Neither can I, but Smeets hasn't done live commentating in some time now.

It's almost like Sky has stolen Tony Martin's SRM numbers, subtracted a constant number, and told Richie Porte what precise numbers to ride to...

The discussion over the consistency in losing time from Martin must be the epitome of this forum.

Gesink at 3'09

I think it's realistic if Mollema finishes around that time. Maybe 2'30 to Froome..

Dificult to say as Gesink hasn't got GC to ride for, and does not have form of Mollema.

I think I should clarify.

For a rider of porte's caliber, it seemed as if he was not intent on beating TM's time. He was consistently slowing down across all the 3 sectors. The Porte that i respect might have lost time in first check, but he would not have lost by a similar margin in the second 2 sectors.

Bad choice of word: "slowed" sorry.
