The great thing about this is Froome will go full alien on Ventoux. His team is so ****e he can't afford to take it easy.

He can let that front group ride ahead about 2 minutes. Meanwhile, Saxo is killing themselves with Ventoux coming up.

He's lucky he found some idiots to help him, would have been 3+ minutes if not.

If Froomedog keeps putting in a minute in mountain finishes and 2 minutes in TTs all this is irrelevant. Its like Armstrong taking a minute in the first week in 2009.

This, sadly:(

Indeed. There really isn't that much to worry about for Froome.

He's losing a bit more than a minute.

Still good racing by Saxo though.

Whether it's 1:05 or 1:15 is pretty much irrelevant. This stage will be important for morale more than anything.

Cavendish is glued to Sagan's wheel. Sagan shouldn't wait for the last 300m to attack I think.

They can't get in striking range of Froome with 5k to go. The next couple of days are going to hurt for Saxo.

They certainly can't if they can't eat into his lead day by day.
