I think sky's best strategy may be to let the break go out to 10 mins even if it allows Martin to take the yellow jersey. The lower the gap, the less time they will have to react to Contador's attempt to bridge it later.

Why? Froome just needs to follow Contador which shouldn't be that hard based on what we've seen this year.

Rodriguez also looked very comfortable before Fuente De last year.

Martin being in the break is perfect for sky.Others will help close it down. Also I agree sky should let it go.Dont see how this is bad for sky.

Yes, but I think he will need to bring Porte and maybe Kennaugh with him. Also there is a problem now with handling the break with Dan Martin in it. Sky team may not be strong enough to keep the break within a manageable distance. They may need to yield the yellow jersey to Dan Martin and try to take it back later in the Alps.

Gautier, Voeckler, Gilbert attack

Hansen and Kloden are 1'10" ahead of the peloton.

Sky leading the peloton

It seems that we'll soon name the counter-attacking group as there are now riders in the peloton answering the call of nature and the chase of the escapees seems to have stopped...
