If somebody puts in a truly amazing time, Cav could be going home.

After I saw Kittel's performance today (1m48s) on Westra, I can't see Cav missing the cut.

So far Martin appears to be as much of a GT contender as Paulinho, De Marchi and Westra. :D A climber will win this stage.

TM coming 22" slower in the first climb. does this crush his chances completely?

Yes. Completely. Froome will be a minute faster to the first time check, then there is another climb...

After inserting data of 40 riders it seems (time first TT x 1,4) is average.

Most GC men will like this TT so (time first TT x 1,35) is likely for guys like Contador, Kreuziger, and so on.

Hivert and Kittel did x 1,31 = best so far.

For the GC contenders:

Froome x 1,3 ==> 47:25; x 1,35 49:20; x 1,4 51:12, so 49-49:30 is to be expected. 51 would be very bad.
Contador and Mollema: 50ish would be great based on the first TT, 52 not so much.
Ten Dam will do 52-53 based on form.
Quintana: 51:30? Maybe a little faster, he might be capable of doing x 1,27 or so.

technically, for lopez to fall otl, froome should do a sub 47 acc to rough calculations.

can't happen.

my reckoning in 12-13 min slower than the stage winner for the time limit
