Evans in his current shape couldn't have done anything in this TT, so it doesn't really matter I guess.

De Gendt is a mystery. Yesterday he was the first to get dropped from the break.

Nicely understated, de Gendt whats with this guy?, somedays he can climb/ time trial with the very best, others he is awful, poor recovery? anyone?

Tuft lays down an early marker.

47 minutes, 39 seconds required to push him out the time limit.

Hivert currently fastest at 55:56, that's a lot slower than the first TT
Looks like it is a lot tougher than I thought

WHat would be really hilarious is if Froom pushes his own teammates outside th time limit. Doubt it will happen, but lets wait and see.

He is often at his best at the very end of a GT (Tour 2011, Giro 2012). So his recovery is probably very good. I think his problems are mainly in his head.

Nice ride by Kittel, great ride for an 86 Kg guy.

OTOH It could be a bad day for him, his leadout man - Veelers is in 62 mins. 49'36 required to OTL him.

I think hes killing it on the descents.

But yes, its a surprising result anyway.

edit: also doing well uphill: 5th at first split after 28 riders.

Yesterday he was bad, according to himself. If you're racing for a stage win in the Tour and you're dropped that early I don't think it's a mental problem.

Until Paris there's not really any interesting in it for him, so he might as well.
