Saxo's tactics are great but I'm afraid Froomborg could singlehandedly close all gaps from all riders in the peloton for the remaining 160 km and still win with +3 minutes on the Alpe!

Normally this would blow up anyone, but I get the feling Froome will still win, unless he loses too much time on the descent.

Depends. If the break forms quickly and no-one wants to chase then the pace will drop a lot and most if not all should get back.

FWIW a lot of guys will have taken it easy yesterday, had a fairly straightforward day the day before and before that was the rest day.
